Not all mushrooms are safe to eat, some are very poisonous, and you should be very cautious.

Nutritional Benefits of Mushrooms

Eating mushrooms can be very good for you. The nutritional profile of a mushroom depends on its species, variety, and age. In general, however, mushrooms are low-carb (2-5%) and very high in protein (20-30% by weight). In short, they are a rich, low-calorie source of, protein, fiber, and antioxidants, which also pack a real flavor punch too.
