The estimated total world production for eggplants in 2022 was 59,312,600 metric tonnes, up by 1.0% from 58,705,398 tonnes in 2021. China was by far the largest producer of eggplants, accounting for nearly 65% of global production at 38,284,897 tonnes. Dependent territories are shown in italics.
